Free Comic Book day is May the 4th this year. It's a day that I absolutely love and want to share with as many like-minded people as possible. A little preparation can go a very long ways, especially for kids with parents who are particular about what they read. I'm steadily finishing writing projects, which makes me insanely happy, although one of them is progressing at a particularly infuriating pace. Sometimes, characters are just stubborn like that and it's impossible to get them to understand that there are deadlines to meet. It was almost eighty degrees today, and sunny. Did I put more transmission fluid into my moped and air up the tires? No.

I DID go outside, though, for a bit. Then, I went home and read all my Free Comic Book Day comics.

The time to get the moped out and start riding approaches. If this weekend remains tolerably nice, next week will be the time. I'll have to check the transmission fluid and tire pressure, of course, but once that's done, I should be good to go, at least to get some gasoline in it, but hopefully for a longer ride than that ( Read more... )

It's the one day a year that I eagerly wake up early. I set the alarm and double and triple-checked it to make sure that it's set.
